About me

Anca

You are not writing a resume.

You are selling yourself in writing to someone who will decide in seven seconds.

Hi, I'm Anca. I'm a recruiter with over 10 years in HR and talent acquisition, and I've read more than 100,000 resumes in that time. Today I run my own recruitment platform, and I work with people across almost every country in Europe, plus the US, Canada, and Australia.

Here's something that people don't talk about.

Your resume is not just a document. It's a pitch.

Most people write down what they did. Job title, dates, responsibilities, done. It feels honest and complete, and it should be enough.

With all the confidence in the world, I'm telling you right now that it isn't. Because you are not being read on your own. You are being read against 200, maybe even more, other people who did roughly the same job as you.

That is what a job application actually is: a competition. And in a competition, being good is not the point. Standing out is.

So the real question is not "is my experience good enough?" It's "does my experience look better than the other 200, in the first few seconds, to someone who is tired and has more to get through today?"

Think of it like TikTok

You already know how this works; you do it every day without thinking about it.

A video has about three seconds to make you stop scrolling, and plenty of us decide in barely more than one. Not because we're rude. Because there's an endless feed underneath and no reason to stay.

Resumes get read the same way. Seven seconds, often less, and it isn't laziness either. It's a stack of applications and a role that needed filling last month.

Nobody gives your resume a fair, patient read. They give it a scroll. Your job is to be the one that stops it.

And before the human, there's the software

Before anyone even scrolls, an ATS decides whether you get seen at all. Wrong formatting, missing keywords, a layout that looks lovely and parses like nonsense, and you're out before a person ever knows you existed.

Two filters, both invisible to you, and no feedback from either one. That's why you can send fifty applications, hear nothing back, and still have no idea what went wrong.

What I actually do for you

I do the selling for you, in writing.

I take your background, find the parts that matter for the roles you want, and write them the way they need to be read: past the software, and convincing to the person on the other side.

I can do it because I live in this. After 100,000+ resumes, I know within seconds what makes me keep reading and what makes me move on before the second bullet point.

What to expect from me

Everything happens in writing, on your schedule. No calls, no video meetings, unless you book interview preparation, where practising out loud is the entire point.

You'll get honest feedback rather than encouragement. If something isn't working, I'll tell you what and why.

And you get the reasoning behind every change I make. Why your summary opens that way, why that bullet moved up, why that section is gone. So the next time you update your resume, you do it yourself, and you know exactly what you're doing.
